The National theatre is built during the second half ot 19th century by the famous architect Alexander Bugarski, who originated from Belgrade. The official decision for the construction to start was taken by knyaz Mihaylo Obrenovic. The architecture of the building is in typical neo-renaissance style. The National theatre is used mostly for different stage productions but also charity dances and concerts. There are two relatevely equal in their dimentions halls - one for 219 visitors and the other has capacity for 281.
